About Alex Lewis

For as long as I can remember I have been in love with horses; I have always recognized them as master healers! Feeling them carry us assuredly down the trail is a union with horses that humans have had for centuries. Being in service to these amazing creatures has always been my passion, and I am thankful every day to be on that Journey!

A little about myself, I am a Pulse Certified PEMF technician with over 12 years of experience in the field of Equine Bodywork. Training with Sport Horses for over 20 years has given me many opportunities for expanding my education with horses, including becoming a Certified Technician through the industry leaders Pulse PEMF, for both humans and horses, becoming certified in Equine Kinesiology Taping, studying Equine Nutrition for 20 years and creating supplements for horses, ultimately owning a business making high end equine supplements for sport horses. I pride myself on constantly learning the newest information in Equine Sports and Healing Modalities for the horse and rider. I am passionately dedicated to helping horses to move under saddle pain-free, to recover from injury and get back to the sport that they love, and to perform at their absolutely highest capacity! I also believes every horse can heal, and deserves the opportunity to heal!

Optimizing Equine nutrition is a passion of mine, and through my experience resolving horse's digestive imbalances proves time and time again to be at the root of many equine dis-ease, and even recurrent lameness.

I personalize each session to the horse's unique needs, using a combination of Bodywork and PEMF to provide optimal healing and pain relief benefits. I have thousands of hours of experience watching horses in locomotion in the jumping world, training horses, and in endurance racing, and I put that information to work when detecting pain or trauma in the horses I get the pleasure of sharing space with.

Becoming certified to recognize lameness by the top experts in the world, including Dr Sue Dyson and Dr Audrey DeClue (including in the course "Recognizing the 24 behaviors of Pain in the Ridden Horse"  and by Sue Dyson, has proven highly valuable when evaluating a horse and working closely with veterinarians.

As an Endurance Rider myself, I understand the physical demands that horses endure in sport and competition. Using my knowledge of nutrition, wellness, training, biomechanics and equine therapy, I promote optimal health and performance in my client's horses as well as in my own. My desire to help horses feel their best and target their optimal way of going is what drives me to provide effective and affordable care to all horses.

In creating Point to Point Healing years ago, my mission has been to provide personalized and targeted sessions to horses and humans, with a focus on Sport Horses. With combining both Equine Bodywork and PEMF, I can help horses to feel their best, recover more quickly from injury and come back to their sport stronger than before, performing at their highest capability with their rider right alongside them in their best form as well.
